The P36-E is a new trouser form for AW20, combining the new lightweight encapsulated nylon with a variety of pleats and tucks for mobility, function, and shape. It features multiple pleats at the front waistband, a curved outseam that wraps towards the back, double-pleated knees, and folded pleats at the rear that unfurl to reveal hidden zippered-entry back pockets and air vents. The standard Acronym built-in webbing drawcord belt is shifted to the back and armed with a quickrelease strap for fast on-off. It's finished at the bottom with a zippered hem opening to alter the fit and shape, allowing the pant to adapt to a variety of footwear options.
The highly-constructed nature of the P36-E echoes design cues from fellow designer and friend-of-the-brand Kiko Kostadinov, but twists the feature set to create a more functional product in keeping with Acronym's 'Zero Resistance' ethos. The front pleats and pocket entry hidden under the back pleats can be seen in the Ganges Trousers from 0006, the curved layered back panel bears resemblance to the Kanu Trousers from 0006, and the canted hem expansion zipper covered by a placket plus the 3D bent-knee shape calls back to the original Ventile Triple Dart trousers from 0002. Seeing the creative exchange across brands and designers in a product like this is exciting and helps bring a sense of freshness to Acronym. And while there are a wealth of design similarities, the P36 feels true to the Acronym brand--in its composition, material choice, and finishings. Here in the P36, all the elements coalesce into a sharp, streamlined durable pant, one that at times you can forget you're wearing.
Made in Europe 9.5/10 Condition, with no rips, stains, or tears. Worn twice. Includes plastic bag and spec sheet.
Fit Notes: The waist is cut oversize with the intention of using the integrated webbing to belt down to fit a range of sizes. Therefore, these can fit anywhere from 30-36 waist. It is best to size based on height for Acronym oversize waist pants.
