Size 38 Fits M-L -Produced initially in 1942, this jacket was part of the new 1943 uniform that included a brand new layering system and user-focused design. This iconic field jacket replaced the prior M41 jacket with a longer body and the switch to a sturdy, windproof cotton sateen face fabric. Built to be fit over other layers, this jacket has a roomy body that can be cinched in at the waist with an internal drawcord as well as very voluminous sleeves. Cementing this piece as the windproofing overlayer is the convertible collar that is secured with a separate neck latch. -The M43 was produced in the original OD no. 3 (a green/brown that sits right in between a true khaki and the more conventional olive drab), featured a fully buttoned front, and substantial lapels, all of which separate it from its successors the M-51 & M-65 (the M-51 saw the addition of a zippered front and a shift to the Olive green OG-107, the M-65 featured a collar-stowable hood and a nyco blend to replace the cotton sateen)
