Intricately detailed Sheepskin leather blouson from Arrston Volaju, the brand founded by Japanese designer Kohshin Satoh in 1975 (and responsible for outfitting legendary figures Miles Davis and Andy Warhol). The piece features an 80s-style offset center front zip closure and broad sculptural rounded shoulders but is subtlely abstracted from the archetype with a detail set that offers silhouette adjustment and function. Long two-way zippers at either side of the body open to hidden waist level pockets, while additional two-way zippers set along the backs of the sleeves open expandable gussets. Belted shoulder straps can be tightened to suspend the arm and shoulder. Exaggerated back pleats scoop around the lateral body, cutting sculptural curved lines with amazing depth, all while creating additional cavernous storage options.
Finished with double snap placket fastening at center front hem and collar, convertible crossover shawl collar with knit facing, partially elasticated hem, and double snap wrist adjustment tab.
Made in Japan 8/10 Condition, with no rips, stains, or tears. Patina and fading of the leather throughout but in excellent condition for its age. Lining is in great shape. Two small holes at the knit collar are unnoticeable when worn and can be repaired.
Fit Notes: Tagged size M, fits true to size with a roomy fit in chest with a tight elasticated hemline. Shoulders are cut rounded but without pads. Can suit up to a size men's large.
