Wool chore coat with a carefully considered hybrid construction that demonstrates Comme des Garcons's playfully subversive approach to menswear. The jacket's body lining is done in bold red knit instead of a cupro/rayon, retaining the knitted welt pockets and ribbed hem of a sweater. This ribbed hem has a layered effect when worn with wool-side-out, as the red knit hugs closer to the body and peeks out from below the hem. When worn reversed, the hem creates a subtle balloon shape. Though not technically reversible (front zip closure isn't a reversible one and care tags are not hidden) the otherwise incredibly clean and graphically bold interior finishing makes a compelling argument for the wearer to flip the garment inside out in classic CDG fashion.
Finished with four patch pockets with nested pocket array at wearer's right waist pocket, button collar closure, and button-tab waist adjusters.
Made in Japan 8/10 Condition, with no rips or tears. Some very minor spots at the sleeve lining that are mostly unnoticeable as well as one snag at the wearer's right shoulder (when worn knit-side-out) at the red knit lining.
Fit Notes: Tagged a size M, fits true to size with a loose, relaxed fit. Can also suit smaller looking to wear oversize or a large looking for a more fitted/standard fit.
