The most popular trouser of Fall 2019, the Irene features a set of full-length double-zippers running in curves down the back lateral legs. They are openable from top and bottom, making the silhouette fully adjustable and also nesting an extra set of hidden side entry pockets at the hips. There is also a placket on each lower leg with snap closures at calf and hem to give additional control of the shape. Utilizing these features, the wearer can style the Irenes as a slim pant with a slight taper, straight pant, or slim pant with a flared hem. Unzipped, the black cotton lining peeks through and provides a sleek graphic impression. The Irenes feature the seasonal curved teardrop pattern detail at the opening of the jean-style pockets, as well as a curved waistband pattern, yokeless darted seat, and back welt pockets. It is finished with a button waist closure with zipper fly.
The Irenes were produced in 6 different material/color iterations (Midnight Stripe wool, black workwear polyester, teal workwear polyester, vessel grey workwear polyester (web exclusive), black cowhide leather, and Silver Satin Active). The black cowhide and silver satin active are the most visually powerful and directional. These black cowhide Irenes replace the button closure at the lower leg with Kiko Kostadinov's signature Cobrax snaps, creating a more industrial and utilitarian atmosphere.
