A new style for AW22, this Kimono-style wrapover front skirt trouser adopts the detailing of a traditional western men's sidestripe tuxedo trouser. The notched split back waistband, wearer's left back welt pocket and satin stripe are all rotated, creating the look of a pair of pants that's been exaggeratedly upsized and folded-to-fit. An excellent showcase of Soshiotsuki's aptitude for bringing together disparate menswear archetypes and creating something new. Though they sit at a halfway point between multiple poles, (historicism/modernity, east/west, skirt/pant) they sacrifice nothing in terms of functionality, versatility, and design.
Nezumi is a 100% doeskin wool fabric, subtlely striped and treated for a vintage, aged look with amazing color depth. Its tight weave means it's hard wearing despite its fuzzy, soft hand.
Finished with combination button + hook and bar waist closure, zipper fly, welt side pocket on wearer's right, and two top entry welt pockets shifted to wearer's back left and wearer's left front.
