Fullzip hoodie from Vetements Spring 2019, cut in a dense compressed fleece with a luxurious soft hand. It features a statement gimp masked hood with adjustable laced back and eyeholes openable with mini lampo zippers. As much of Demna's work is about how people wear clothes, the hem is 'set' tight with an internal cord, to be worn at the waist with excess length pooled over.
Spring 2019 was also the first Vetements collection that explored Gvasalia's personal history and identity. It centered around the many cultures that influenced him growing up, the Georgian civil war that he and his family escaped from, and the issues that Georgia faces in the present day (i.e. Tbilisi club protests and the fight for LGBTQ+ rights). The bullet zipper pull reflects on the everyday gunfire during the war while the back features embroidery of the Borjgali, a symbol of the sun prevalent in Georgian culture that appears on currency, ID's, passports, and on the backs of rugby players.
Finished with two two lampo zipper closed waist pockets and wide, slightly elasticated sleeve hems.
Made in Portugal 9/10 Condition, with no rips, stains, or tears.
