This lightweight shell jacket features Arc'teryx's famous hybrid construction, mapping different materials based on their functional qualities and where they are most applicable. Here, a robust stretch softshell is cut at the shoulders, front pockets, and elbows/lower sleeves--all areas prone to high abrasion and wear. The rest of the jacket features a hefty red nylon ripstop for water resistance. The result is jacket with a natural material and color contrast that highlights the 3D anatomical patternmaking as a byproduct of function-driven design. This jacket is nearly 15 years old yet looks absolutely contemporary. Finished with YKK center front zip, two laminated zippers at the chest pockets, hem drawcord, and articulated pre-bent sleeves.
