These trousers from Camilla Damkjaer feature a triple layer front, with a fold-down apron panel and a wearer's left side wraparound skirt panel. The lightweight pima cotton is allover printed with a photorealistic graphic, one that might be challenging to wear if it weren't for the fact that the many constructed layers of the pant help obscure the imagery. The apron and skirt panels work to create a collage effect in the way the photo graphics are overlaid and stacked, breaking each image up--Damkjaer ingeniously utilizes garment construction as a process to abstract realism.
The legs are cut wide and straight, to provide space for the graphic but also to create an elegant, A-line plinth-like silhouette. The roomy shape is perfect for warmer weather and also to style with a broad range of tops. Cut with two side pockets, one as a traditional slash pant pocket, one as part of the skirt panel. Closed with side button fastening on the wearer's right.
