Iconic work coat from early Comme des Garçons Homme, featuring the label's sensibility of combining archetypical menswear to create striking, unique, at times austere, at times eerie anti-fashion. This chore coat brings together an amalgam of details ranging from workwear to tailoring to sportswear. It features a subtlely curved front hem drawing from tailored jackets, raglan shoulder and ribbed cuffs from sportswear, and the elongated body proportions of a work coat, mixing work (of all different kinds) with play. 3D zippered pocket at wearer's left chest features pen sleeve overlay to invoke on-site surveyors, draughtsmen, artists, and architects.
Finished with button front closure, leather waist drawcord cinch, full length quilted lining through body and sleeves, and layered welt waist pockets.
Made in Japan 8.5/10 Condition, with no rips, stains, or tears. Quilted lining is in impeccable condition with no holes worn through as is typical with these old Comme pieces. Shows a subtle sun-faded patina on the twill face that adds to the vintage quality. Leather waist drawcord shows some cracking and could use conditioning.
Fit Notes: Tagged a size M, fits oversize in the body and sleeves. Short sleeve length means this is recommended for an S or true M.
