Seen here are a statement voluminous trouser from the iconic 'Decadence' collection by CdGH+ (Look 26). The season was an embodiment of exaggeration, extravagance, and overall a visual collage of luxury. Reworked silk patchwork shirting was cut long and peeked out under short suit jackets, dramatic shin-length long coats and robes draped and flowed over pooled trouser hems and under deconstructed jackets-turned-vests. A majority of the looks glowed with a noisy and lustrous sheen from the patterned satins, graphic silks, and metallic brocades (at the peak, all 3 were crashed into single looks), with the resulting visual saturation counterintuitively drawing even more attention to the silhouettes--after all, the cascading graphic patterns read so loud on cuts so voluminous they drown out the folds, creases, and curves of the body.
Here the trouser is cut with two massive inward facing front pleats that lend the wide leg a natural curvature and roundness to follow the body. It features the expert finish quality of any Comme trouser with slash side pockets, back welt pockets, and tailored waistband in an intricate and luxurious metallic brocade fabric. The mid-weight fabric has an incredibly soft and fluid drape that moves with the wearer and brings depth and dynamism to the shape.
Made in Japan 9/10 Condition, with no rips, stains, or tears. Very slight pulling of the brocade fabric in several areas but no major or clearly visible defects.
