Craig Green

SS17 Laced/Quilted Workwear Jacket

Size S Fits Fits S-M

Black/Blue/Red

-Signature Craig Green laced construction lets the wearer ‘deconstruct’ the garment according to their preference. This piece was styled on the runway with lacing undone to different degrees and the panels levitating off the body—Sleeves hung off revealing a pale shoulder, body panels draped agape at the chest, forearms floated through an unlaced slit in a sleeve, etc. These runway looks provide ample inspiration but as always, wear however you wish.

-There is a marked contrast between 3D nature of the body/garment and the 2D pattern pieces they are constructed out of. By ‘undoing’ the laces, the wearer is able to experience and play with wearing the garment in both these respects.

-Quilted and patterned textiles bring an element of romanticism to the Craig Green universe, furthering the ‘Neo-Nomadic’ image that his garments gesture towards. The textiles are also softly structured, giving the piece a sculptural silhouette.

-Finished with Craig Green's decidedly minimalist/industrial detailing. Featuring Riri zero snaps along the front, plastic lace toggles at the ends of the string, metal eyelets and rivets at pocket corners.

-Traditional workwear jacket shape distorted and deconstructed with lacing in lieu of stitching throughout.
