SS04 Bondage Cutout Rider

Size 42 Fits XS-S

The rider jacket is from SS04, and is made from an extremely supple Italian lamb leather, it feels like thick creamy butter and has an interesting scent. The zippers found diagonally across the torso and at the cuff of each sleeve are Lampo as can be expected with most mainline Lang outerwear. Aesthetic applications on the jacket like the twisted fabric straps hanging off the shoulder are cotton jersey and the two straps on the back are made from a simple canvas similar to straps found inside an Astro Biker. There are also detachable elastic bondage cuff straps with leather at each end where the button-holes are.

I'd like to draw attention to the panelling on the back of the jacket which is some of the most innovative, interesting and beautiful leatherwork I have seen; particularly at the pits, the edge of the back (5th pic) and the folded darts towards the top of the back.

There's a lot going on in with this piece, it's definitely the coolest, most peculiar take on a traditional rider jacket I have come across. It's remarkable how seamlessly Lang was able to blend select elements of punk, fetishism and avant-gardeism into one jacket; I wish he had done more things akin to this but at the same time I'm glad he didn't.
