The Marta Trousers from the Women's AW19 show are modeled after a pair of alpine shell pants but refined, stripped back, and elevated. The seat is composed of inward-facing darts and vertical panel lines that emerge from the waist and curve around to the front at the knee. The bottom leg is set into this curve, creating a natural 3D structure and bent-leg volume in place of articulation cut with darts. They retain the boot reinforcement panels of ski pants at the hems but these are executed in petrol blue velvet and serve more as decoration and to house the cinch strap which the wearer can use to tighten the hem. The back waistband is cut high and curved, reminiscent of the Blake Trousers from the men's 00042018 collection and the fabric used is the same workwear cotton/polyester twill found in men's 00032017 garments.
