These vintage Maharishi snopants are cut in a rare Loro Piana wool fabric, lending the aggressive utilitarian shape a luxurious, supple drape and showcasing designer Hardy Blechman's expertise in fusing disparate menswear elements into a cutting-edge street-ready package. Draped pleats at the knees draw from military cargo pants, the fine Loro Piana wool outer points towards tailored trousers, and the shockcord hem and technical polyester lining inject a sportswear atmosphere. There are double the pockets at the waist, with a set of secure zippered ones sitting atop more traditional slash pockets and even the belt loops are doubled. The result is a hybrid trouser that artfully fuses form and function, formality and utility.
Finished with hanging key clip inside wearer's right zippered waist pocket, single back flap pocket, eyelet ventilation holes at the crotch, and inward-facing button waist closure with zippered fly.
Made in the UK 8/10 Condition, with no rips, stains, or tears. Slight abrasion mark at wearer's left outer knee (see pictures).
