Reversible oiled cotton cargo trousers from vintage 2000s Polo Ralph Lauren. This pair features an asymmetrical cargo pocket layout and an earth-toned camouflage that's reminiscent of 60s Belgian Brushstroke. They've been aged beautifully, with the oiled finish on the camo side developing 'pull-up' style fade patterns at high wear/crease areas. This garment is committed to its reversibility with no expense spared--seams are felled and chainstitched and both sides feature functional waist and back pockets (layered over reinforced seat panels nonetheless). The fly features a reversible zipper and dual button waist. Perhaps the most beautiful part of these pants is the way that the inside orange face subtlely images the other side of the trouser, simulating the appearance of 'another' pair of pants--you see the lines of stitching that secure the cargo pockets on the other side; there are dots of olive from threads that have been pulled through due to an ever-so-slightly imperfect tension setting; olive bartacks punctuate the other side's pocket openings and belt loops; the print has bled through, creating an effect of ghostly tonal camouflage.
Made in Indonesia 7.5/10 Condition, with no rips or tears. Finish shows a fair amount of patina which contributes to a worn, vintage look. Oiled camo side shows 'pull-up' fading at high crease/wear areas. Some paint splatters on the lower leg of the camo side.
Fit Notes: Tagged a size 32Wx30L, fits true. Roomy seat with mid-low rise and slim straight leg with a slight flared appearance near the hem.
