Eastern-styled shirt jacket from textile researcher and artisan Sophie Hong, featuring her iconic work studying and advancing historical mud-dyed silk techniques from China. This shirt features an intricately textured lightweight silk in a wave patterned weave with brown mud coating over top. It's cut with a high back vent for a roomy, draped, almost cape-like fit that moves fluidly.
Finished with contrasting patterned silk edge binding, hand pockets set along the side seams, and a double collar. Velvet trapezoidal patch secures the high back vent.
Made in Taiwan 8.5/10 Condition, with no rips, stains, or tears. Some areas where mud has worn off the textured ridges of the silk fabric.
