US Military Bunny Boots (or Extreme Cold Vapor Barrier Boots) serve as the inspiration for these boots by Takahiromiyashita The Soloist. A luxury white leather make replaces the insulated vacuum sealed rubber of the originals, rendering these wearable outside of the -65F that the originals are rated for. They retain the graphic detailing (i.e. usage instructions and size notations), the now-ornamental depressurization valve, and most importantly, the hallmark oversized silhouette. Undoubtedly, the draw of these is their clunky, blocky, shape and exaggerated proportion which seem so distant from conventional footwear. They serve as a heavy, semi-abstracted foundation that helps anchor the dramatically deconstructed silhouettes of Fall 2019
