Cotton 1-Button Blazer & Trousers by Jun Takahashi's Undercover brand new with tags. Low set single button stance and signature cursive embroidery above the discreet slash waist pockets, this is guaranteed to garner attention at any event. A refreshing take on punk ideas, SS12 saw Jun re-appropriating punk slogans into more formal attire like Oxford Shoes, suits and button-ups - mostly with thick embroidery and cursive font. I find this is quite a hilarious juxtaposition, posing elegant silhouettes and traditionally upper-class clothing/techniques with to-the-point vulgarity. This is stuff you could wear to a wedding, and have the bride's mother despise you for the rest of the evening.
The "fuck the past, fuck the future" slogan is derived from Patti Smith's "Babelogue" and calls for us not to think about what has already happened or what could happen but rather to simply live in the moment.
Further reasons to buy this suit are the brilliant details and lining, the blazer is an extremely peculiar paper/cotton blend with silk notched upper lapels and cupro lining. The underside of the care label warns to be careful because of the delicate materials used. The trousers follow with silk stripes reaching the knee and the same paper/cotton blend.
